The spacious rooms are well-appointed with comfy beds, making for a cozy stay. Having breakfast under the pergola surrounded by the beautiful garden adds a nice touch to the mornings.
Being in a residential area means you can't just stroll to nearby attractions. an Uber is necessary for decent dining options or activities. there was a minor hiccup with the pedestrian door, where two gates trapped some guests, suggesting a need for clearer signs. it’s an enjoyable place despite these small quirks.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was spacious and clean, but it could do with some updating. The garden and pool were a sweet spot to chill out, eh?

Breakfast was a highlight with exquisite sliced tropical fruits and dishes tailored to my preference. Leigh, the hostess, went above and beyond, letting me lounge by the pool late into the afternoon. The room was huge and so comfy, making every moment in Leighwood Lodge a pleasure.
One cheeky note—since Leighwood Lodge is nestled in a residential area, grabbing an Uber is a must to explore the vibrant dining scene or action spots in Johannesburg, as wandering solo isn't the safest option.

The location is ideal, nestled in a quiet and safe neighborhood but still conveniently close to great restaurants and art galleries.
A minor inconvenience was that the mattress was a bit too firm for my comfort, though it might be suited for others.

We were welcomed by Vee with our bags and even treated to a refreshing gin and tonic after a long drive, which was such a nice touch! The stunning garden and inviting outdoor pool made it easy to unwind after exploring. The only hiccup was a minor mix-up with the pedestrian entrance, but it was quickly sorted out—definitely worth staying here if you’re looking for a cozy escape! 😊
